We’re nearly one quarter of the way through the 21st Century. If you’re grown enough to remember the Y2K freak out, that sentence may make you feel, um, not young. But while the current century has been old enough to legally drink for several years now, Skwala Fly Fishing is just about to complete our third trip round the sun. 

Conservation content can be a bummer, especially when it comes to steelhead. The past couple decades have delivered a near-constant flood of unhappy messaging. Wild steelhead populations have cratered, and fish that were always somewhat challenging to catch (on flies, anyway) have become nearly mythical.  Most of us here at Skwala call ourselves steelhead anglers, and we know steelhead populations face enormous challenges, challenges far too big for any of us to tackle them as individuals (or even small companies). That’s why we support the Wild Steelhead Coalition and hope you will consider doing the same.

We don’t just talk about making good gear and standing behind our product, we offer the strongest guarantee in the industry. Anyone can sell a pair of waders, we want to build life-long relationships with our customers.
