Worth the money.
"Amazing jacket. Super warm. Fits well."
The RS Outpost combines advanced textiles with angler-centric design to give you everything you could want in a cold weather fly fishing jacket. We started with a full 150 grams of the same Toray® 3DeFX+™ spiral insulation we use in our Fusion 3/2 Puffy to keep you warm in even the most frigid fishing conditions. Then, we added a soft, wicking interior liner to keep moisture away from your body. We covered all this in a highly durable, fully waterproof, windproof, 4-way stretch exterior shell with fully taped and reinforced seams. Two innovative pass-through pockets give cold hands access to the body heat trapped in your RS Wader's warming pockets. An adjustable storm hood, insulated hand-warming pockets, an angled chest pocket, YKK® Aquaguard™ zippers, and adjustable hydrophobic cuffs round out the fishy feature set.

"Amazing jacket. Super warm. Fits well."
"The best overall winter/cold jacket I’ve ever owned. Amazing functionality, and access."
"To say this coat is warm is an understatement. It does much more than keep you warm. It will keep you dry, it just stops the wind from ever reaching you, it's comfortable, should you want to lair for extreme conditions the stretch allows the room to do so comfortably. The only improvement I would have expected from a coat of this caliber, the pockets should be lined with something. To put a cold hand into a nylon pocket is a disappointment. However, if you're looking for the best quality. . . you found it."
"Love this jacket! I've had the chance to use it several times since my dad bought it for me Christmas! Been in the cold and rain and just like I expected, it was awesome! It was warm enough that I didn't have to have too many layers and totally waterproof! It's a piece of gear that I'm going to use and love for a lifetime!"
"Absolutely love this jacket. This is my go to jacket for fishing the Great Lakes during the colder months. Extremely comfortable and most importantly keeps you warm. No restrictions in movement, which is great with two-handed casting."
"Outstanding product!"
"Skwala has nailed the winter fly fishing coat with this one. the coat definitely is not lacking for warmth ability on those extremely cold days on the river. the fact that there is no restriction in movement while wearing it only increases the positive opinion."
"It is light. It is easy to move around in. Goes on the outside of my waders, but I am also wearing it as everyday here because our temps get below freezing a lot. Zip it to the top and it protects ears and below mouth from cold winds. Use hoody and head is completely protected. This is not a warm weather coat. It really keeps the heat in and keeps you warm. So light, so flexible and waterproof. I'm on the river in 34 degree weather when its raining and snowing and in perfect comfort. Other guys are fighting their stiff shells or getting soaked. This is the one. It does have a superior flexible heavy duty zipper which is easy to use."
"This jacket is outstanding. Extremely warm. Definitely worth the cost. If you are looking for a winter jacket to wade in this is it!"
"The RS Outpost Jacket is perfect for the wind cold fall days here in NYC. I highly recommend."
