Colton Schofield
Hometown: Emmett, Idaho
Guides in: Greater Yellowstone area.
Colton loves a challenge, which is lucky since he guides some of the most notoriously fussy and competitive fisheries in the country: The Henry’s Fork. Born and raised outside of Boise, Idaho, Colton was a fish-obsessed kid. Colton honed his fly skills on local ponds, targeting sunfish, bass, and carp before moving on to trout. He started tying flies at 12 and became a commercial tyer by the time he hit high school. After graduation, he moved to Island Park, Idaho and landed a job guiding for Henry’s Fork Anglers. He earned his keep and made a name for himself among a staff that includes legends and icons who have been guiding those rivers since before Colton was born. A decade later and ready for the next challenge, he decided to winter in Florida, where he taught himself to fish saltwater. Colton’s one of those anglers with natural confidence, stellar instincts, and exceptional talent who can figure out any fishery.
