Isaiah Smith
Isaiah Smith’s earliest fishing memories are chasing bass and bluegill with his grandfather in Southeast Missouri. He spent every summer there, learning to fish and kindling the love that still drives him today.
College football pushed fishing to the periphery until a foot injury ended his playing career. After some time away from the water, Isaiah took a job with Cabela's and started fishing again, rediscovering the same feeling he’d had as a kid with his grandfather. That passion carried him to the mountains, rivers, and streams of the Mountain West. Since 2021, Isaiah’s been guiding on the Colorado, Roaring Fork, Frying Pan, Eagle, and Crystal Rivers out of New Castle, Colorado.
As often happens, sweetwater seasons led to salty excursions, and Isaiah ended up expanding his calendar as a guide at Los Locos Fishing in Magdelena Bay, Mexico. Isaiah is currently growing his business to include inshore and flats fishing for redfish, jacks, and other species in Venice, Louisiana.

The best part about fly fishing: One of my favorite things about fly fishing is that there are so many ways to reach the common goal of catching a fish and most of them are a lot of fun.
