Todd Scharf
Hometown: Vancouver, BC
Guides in: Terrace, BC
Born and raised in Vancouver, Todd Scharf grew up fishing the rivers of coastal British Columbia before heading north to chase something wilder. He now calls Terrace home—a place where the rivers run legendary and the fish run big. Todd founded Upstream Adventures Lodge & Guiding Services in 1999 and remains the owner, operator and head guide. He’s built a life around helping others experience the raw, remote waters of the Skeena system (the Sacred Circle) in pursuit of wild steelhead, all five species of Pacific salmon, and native trout. He’s a licensed guide, a master fly tier, and a highly skilled jet sled pilot—blending precision and intuition. Whether you’re swinging a Spey rod through steelhead green or skating dries for coho in the fall, Todd’s calm confidence and deep river knowledge put you in the right water at the right time. Just don’t be surprised when the “best day of your season” becomes the standard.
