"I bought the Backeddy Vest to add to a versatile layering system for fishing, and it has exceeded my expectations. The fit in a size Medium is athletic without being restrictive, and it layers perfectly over my Themo 150 hoody and Thermo 350 hoody. It adds noticeable core warmth without adding bulk to my casting arms. Before buying, I expected the vest to be thicker. It’s actually lighter than I imagined, but after wearing it in Montana on cool mornings and evenings, I understand the design philosophy. It provides just enough warmth while remaining highly breathable and comfortable to fish in. When the day warms, the folds into a tight profile and fits easily in my sling pack. The Eclipse color looks excellent, the construction is first-rate, and it has quickly become one of the most versatile pieces in my fishing arsenal. If you’re looking for a heavy insulated vest, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a purpose-built fishing layer that integrates seamlessly into a layering system, I highly recommend it. The various features are extremely well thought out."

Backeddy Vest

"Backeddy vest review: FIT: 5’6 140 pounds, size 36 chest and 30 waist. Medium fits very well with enough room to go over light layers, puffy, or concealed carry holster. I suspect small would fit if I wanted a slimmer profile. QUALITY: outstanding finish; stitching is excellent and reinforced in numerous areas. Fabric has a slight elastic stretch, but otherwise feels stiff/holds its shape (best I can describe…and I’m a fan). Fabric is quiet when moving. Good zippers and pockets (3 external and 1 internal. DURABILITY: I have not put it through torture test yet and can’t evaluate, but have high expectations. DESIGN: all zippers have pulls and are hidden behind fabric guards and remain easily reached. They are very well thought out. USE: I can’t decide if I’m making this a dedicated fishing vest or smart casual CCW vest. Either way I’m a fan"

I love the product as

"I love the product as well as all the other Skwala products I have purchased. My only comment would be so far all of the jackets that I have purchased, including this vest they tend to be a little small around the midsection, considering what their size is I have an average belt – I’m not overweight. I’m also not skinny as rail, and I have found a lot of your jackets when we put them on. They’re fairly tight in the bottom third – I’ve had several other buddies of mine who also have your products have said the same thing."

Love this vest!

"The fit is great and the quality is second to none. This is my go to for transitional seasons to stay warm but also to have freedom of movement. I don’t think it’s technically waterproof but I’ve never had water penetrate its surface even when briefly submerged. This is one of my favorite articles of technical clothing."
