I like it
"Was skeptical about being worth $200 but I love it so far. Perfect spring/fall hoodie and is fairly wind resistant which is better than other hoodies."
Cotton hoodies are heaven when you’re curled up on the couch but leave you cold and clammy on the water. That’s why we built the Apex Hoody—to combine the comfort and functionality of your old hooded sweatshirt with the technology and performance brought to you by the world’s most advanced hard-faced fleece. We kept everything you love about your favorite hooded sweatshirt and made it better. The classic, insulated kangaroo pocket includes zippers, so you can safely store a fly box, phone, or tools in there. We added hidden locks to the drawstring hood for easy adjustment. We replaced cotton with bomber Karuishi® Fleece, and added full-stretch and articulation in the arms. You can still wear it on the couch, but when you get bored and decide to hit the river, you won’t need to change.

"Very comfortable and warm"
"Awesome sweatshirt that’s worth the cost. Very comfortable and the exterior is great for cooler, rainy days on the river. The shoulder room works for casting all day long."
"Love this new heavyweight hoodie! Big zip pockets are perfect and the Hard face material does ward off a slight drizzle and snow. Price is a little high but you do get what you pay for so I feel like the premium is worth it."
"Hoodie fits to size for me at 5. 9--165, its comfortable, warm as a outer layer to 40 degree area, and really warm as a mid layer with my goose down over it, to well below zero degrees. I like the snug fit, the seal around the wrist, the hoodie draw string, and whatever that cushier inner material is, all make this very versatile with less bulk and restricted movement. It's comfortable, warmer and covers a wider temperature range and wind conditions taking less clothing. Highly recommended !"
"It’s great! Great insulation and warm. Good loose fit and not bulky. Very comfortable to wear when fishing all day in cold weather. Love it!"
"Sturdy fabric resists pilling and because it's wind resistance it's much warmer than a regular sweatshirt, and is water repellant - and I'd like to know if it (and other Skwala products) are PFAS-free. I'd give this five stars if the cuffs weren't so tight and not stretchy. I often have to take off my watch to undress the sleeve."
"A sweatshirt that’s honestly worth it. The material stays really warm. Water beads off decently. Stylish with some nice features. Favorite parts are the zipper pocket, fleece material, and hood string mechanism."
"Great performance hoodie"
"This hoody is awesome! I did not want to pay $200 for a sweatshirt, but I would do it again. Super warm and comfy. The hard faced fleece with DWR is great, seems to work well keeping the water off when out in the snow, dripping trees, etc. Blocks wind well too when I wore it skiing on a sunny day. I love the zippered kangaroo pocket. Zippers do not bother my hands at all. The bottom opening on my XXL is perfect for me, not too wide as others have mentioned. However, as a weight lifter, former rugby player, and beer enthusiast, I have never been accused of being skinny. So take that for what it’s worth. Seems to be similar to other hoodies I have owned. XXL is an XXL for what I can tell."
